Employment Process & Onboarding

Parlier Unified School District is committed to a transparent and efficient hiring process. Below is an overview of the steps from application through onboarding for selected candidates.


🔹 1. Application Process

How to Apply

All applicants must apply online through EdJoin. Each job posting outlines the required qualifications, documents, and deadlines.

Applicants should be prepared to submit:

  • Completed online application
  • Resume
  • Cover letter (if required)
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Transcripts
  • Credentials (for certificated positions)
  • Any additional required documents listed on the job posting

👉 Only complete applications submitted by the deadline will be considered.


🔹 2. Screening & Selection Process

Candidate Review & Interviews

Applications are reviewed to ensure minimum qualifications are met. Qualified candidates may be invited to participate in the selection process, which may include:

  • Panel interviews
  • Job-related assessments
  • Reference checks

Candidates selected to move forward will be contacted directly.


🔹 3. Conditional Offer of Employment

Next Steps After Selection

Candidates recommended for hire will receive a conditional offer of employment, pending completion of all pre-employment requirements.

Employment is not finalized until all clearances and required documentation are completed.


🔹 4. Pre-Employment Requirements

Required Clearances & Documentation

All selected candidates must complete the following prior to their start date:

  • Fingerprint clearance (DOJ/FBI)
  • TB clearance
  • Mandated Reporter Training (AB 1432)
  • Credential verification (if applicable)
  • Verification of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Submission of all required employment forms

Additional requirements may apply depending on the position.


🔹 5. New Hire Onboarding

Welcome to Parlier Unified

New employees will receive onboarding instructions, including required forms, timelines, and orientation information.

Onboarding may include:

  • Completion of payroll and HR documents through Frontline Central
  • Completion of required trainings, including Mandated Reporter training, through Keenan SafeSchools
  • Benefits enrollment (if eligible)
  • Review of district policies and procedures
  • Technology and system access setup
  • Orientation to district expectations and resources

🔹 6. New Hire Checklist

Before Your First Day

To ensure a smooth start, new hires should complete the following:

  • Accept employment offer
  • Complete fingerprinting and TB clearance
  • Submit all required documents and forms
  • Complete Mandated Reporter training
  • Provide transcripts/credentials (if required)
  • Set up direct deposit and payroll forms
  • Attend scheduled onboarding or orientation sessions
