Parlier Unified School District (PUSD) is proud to encourage parents and community members to actively engage with our schools. Your involvement makes a significant impact by enhancing both instructional and extra-curricular programs, while also inspiring and motivating our students.
Steps to Become a Day-to-Day Parent Volunteer/Chaperone for a Non-Overnight Field Trip:

Check-in at the Main Office:
Upon arrival, visit the Main Office to check in using the Verkada Guest System. This will allow you to receive a Verkada badge with the current date. -
Provide Identification:
Be sure to bring your U.S. state-issued driver’s license or ID card for check-in.
Note: The Verkada Guest system currently does not accept passports or other forms of identification.
Steps to Become a Long-Term Parent Volunteer/Chaperone for an Overnight Field Trip:

Complete the Volunteer Parent Request Form:
Fill out the "Volunteer Parent Request Form". This form can be completed either online or directly at the school site. Ensure the form is signed by a school administrator. -
Submit Required Documents:
Return the completed form to the School Site Secretary, along with the following documents:- Driver's License
- Social Security Card (for fingerprinting purposes)
- Copy of Tuberculosis (TB) Test Results (valid for 4 years)
Once submitted, the school secretary will forward the Volunteer Parent Request Form to Human Resources (HR) to initiate the fingerprinting appointment process.

Fingerprinting Appointment:
The Human Resources Department will contact you to provide you with an appointment for fingerprinting.
Fingerprinting will be done at the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools (FCSS), located at 1111 Van Ness Avenue, Fresno, CA 93721.
Please be aware that transportation to and from FCSS is your responsibility. -
Fingerprint Clearance:
It may take up to two weeks or more for fingerprint clearance. To avoid any delays, please submit your request form in advance. -
Confirmation:
After your request is finalized, a school site representative will contact you with additional details.
