New Procedure to Better Assist Individuals Who May Need a Disability-Related Accommodation
The Parlier Unified School District is committed to ensuring that everyone has equal access to Governing Board meetings. The District is implementing a new procedure to better assist individuals who may need a disability-related accommodation to fully participate in meetings of the Governing Board.
Anyone who needs a disability-related accommodation, modification, or auxiliary aid/service, should direct their request to Ashley Strassenburg, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent. Mrs. Strassenburg may be reached by telephone at (559) 646-2731, or by mail at:

The District will make every effort to implement all requested accommodations. Individuals seeking accommodation should be aware that, depending on the request, it may be difficult for the District to implement a requested accommodation on short notice. The District will respond in writing to all requests made at least 24 hours prior to the Governing Board meeting, and no later than 24 hours after the Governing Board meeting if the request for accommodation is submitted less than 24 hours prior to the Governing Board meeting. The District’s response will indicate whether the request is approved, denied, or if the accommodation or modification will be provided at the next board meeting due to lack of time. If denied, the District’s response will include the basis for the denial. A denial of accommodation may be appealed to the Superintendent.
